SPO Scout is a browser extension for SharePoint Online administrators. It audits permissions, compares libraries and handles common admin tasks from a side panel inside SharePoint, without PowerShell. It is an independent product, developed and published from Canada.
What SPO Scout is
A Chromium browser extension (Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera) for people who administer SharePoint Online: IT admins, consultants, migration teams and site owners. It answers questions such as which folders and files have unique permissions and who holds them, and how two libraries differ, on the site you have open.

Release history
The first version was released in December 2025. The current version is 1.5.2, and the changelog lists every release and what changed in it.

SharePoint is read through your existing browser session and analyzed locally. No SharePoint content or metadata is sent to SPO Scout’s servers; the only requests to us are license checks and optional feedback. There is no Entra ID app registration and no admin consent.
