1. Acceptance of Terms
By installing, accessing, or using SPO Scout ("the Extension"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Extension.
2. Description of Service
SPO Scout is a browser extension that provides tools for SharePoint Online administrators and power users to analyze, compare, copy, and manage SharePoint sites and document libraries.
The Extension operates within your web browser and interacts with SharePoint Online sites that you have permission to access.
3. Microsoft Disclaimer
SPO Scout is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Microsoft Corporation.
SharePoint, Microsoft 365, and related trademarks are the property of Microsoft Corporation. SPO Scout is a third-party tool designed to enhance the SharePoint Online user experience.
Microsoft is not responsible for SPO Scout or any issues arising from its use.
4. Free and Pro Plans
SPO Scout offers two tiers of service:
Free Plan
- Limited to 3 analyses per day
- Basic comparison features (columns, content types, views)
- Hide current library/view functionality
- Basic permission reports
- Limited action history (5 entries)
Pro Plan
- Unlimited analyses
- Advanced permission reports with item-level and group expansion
- Compare folders functionality
- Copy columns, views, and pages between libraries
- Recreate library structures
- Manage hidden libraries and views
- Bulk version limit management
- Export to CSV, PDF, and JSON
- Full action history
- Priority support
5. Licensing Terms
Pro licenses are sold on a subscription basis and are subject to the following terms:
- Licenses are tied to a specific Microsoft 365 tenant domain
- Each license key can only be used on one tenant at a time
- Licenses are non-transferable between tenants without prior arrangement
- License validity is checked periodically; an internet connection is required
- Expired licenses will revert to Free plan features
6. Payment and Refund Policy
Payment: Pro licenses are purchased through our website. All payments are processed securely by our payment provider. Prices are displayed in the currency indicated at checkout.
Refund Policy: We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee for Pro licenses. If you are not satisfied with SPO Scout Pro within 14 days of purchase, contact us at support@sposcout.com for a full refund.
Refunds are not available after the 14-day period, except where required by applicable law.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree to use SPO Scout only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:
- Use the Extension to access SharePoint data you are not authorized to view
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the Extension
- Share, resell, or redistribute license keys
- Use the Extension in any way that could damage or overload SharePoint services
- Use the Extension to violate any applicable laws or regulations
8. Intellectual Property
SPO Scout and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by SPO Scout and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
SPO Scout is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that:
- The Extension will be error-free or uninterrupted
- The Extension will be compatible with all SharePoint configurations
- All features will work in all scenarios
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SPO Scout shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, business interruption, or any damages arising from the use or inability to use the Extension.
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Pro license in the 12 months preceding the claim.
11. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Pro features if you violate these Terms. Upon termination:
- Your license key will be deactivated
- You will retain access to Free plan features
- No refund will be provided for the remaining license period (except within the 14-day guarantee)
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of any material changes by posting the new Terms on this page. Your continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Canada, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
