Payment System Restored

SPO Scout Pro licenses are available for purchase again. Here's what happened and how we fixed it.

Payment processing is fully restored. You can now purchase SPO Scout Pro licenses without any issues.

What Happened

Earlier this week, some customers experienced issues when attempting to purchase SPO Scout Pro licenses. The payment page was temporarily unavailable while we were upgrading our backend infrastructure.

We want to be transparent about what occurred and the steps we've taken to prevent this from happening again.

The Issue

During a planned infrastructure upgrade to improve our licensing system, we encountered an unexpected configuration issue with our payment webhook integration. This caused our payment processor (Stripe) to be unable to communicate with our license activation system.

As a precaution, we temporarily disabled the payment link to prevent customers from paying for licenses that couldn't be automatically activated.

How We Fixed It

Our team worked to resolve the issue by:

  • Implementing a new CI/CD pipeline for faster, more reliable deployments
  • Adding enhanced security measures including replay attack protection
  • Setting up separate test and production environments to catch issues before they affect customers
  • Adding comprehensive monitoring and logging to detect issues earlier
